Wow, thanks for the link. I hadn’t seen that before. I had no idea that Jeffrey Lewis had the Jarvis Cocker seal of approval. Pretty damn impressive.

Women as Lovers is the best xiu xiu so far.
this album will definitely be in the best of 2008 lists.

And jeffrey.. well, he’s a genius. Did you see the BBC piece?
Nice to see he is appreciated out of the us too.

this reminds me of that band in ghostworld, blues hammer. it’s kinda hilarious in the context of an imaginary world, but here it’s just sad and conjures up some anger.
